Falco Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:FPC) has announced a significant expansion of its exploration activities with the launch of a high-resolution heliborne magnetic survey, known as the Helimag Program, over the western portion of its extensive landholdings in the Noranda Mining Camp, located in the Abitibi region of Québec.
Targeting Underexplored Areas
According to Luc Lessard, President and CEO of Falco, the Helimag Program follows an initial survey completed late last year, which identified several underexplored areas with strong potential for Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) deposits. These priority targets have been selected for further investigation to better define new exploration opportunities.
"We are excited to launch the Helimag Program to better define these new exploration targets," Lessard stated. "We expect to receive results this summer, which will underpin a comprehensive exploration strategy for the second half of this year, leveraging our commanding claim package in the Rouyn-Noranda region."
Building on Previous Surveys
As previously disclosed in a press release dated November 5, 2025, Falco initiated an Airborne Gravity Gradiometry (AGG) survey, a first for the region. This AGG survey successfully identified several felsic domes in the Western Camp, aligning with geophysical signatures observed in the Central Camp, an area renowned for high-grade VMS deposits. The Helimag Program has been recommended as the subsequent phase of exploration in the Western Camp.
Survey Details and Execution
The Helimag Program is currently in progress and is being conducted by Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc. of Laval, Québec. This program covers an approximate area of 180 square kilometers, with flight lines spaced 50 meters apart to ensure high-resolution data collection.
Future Exploration Plans
Upon completion of the Helimag Program, Falco will perform an integrated analysis that incorporates geological, geochemical, and additional ground-based geophysical data. This comprehensive evaluation is anticipated to support the design of a potential drill program, which could commence in the second half of 2026.
