Hydro-Québec announced on July 9, 2026, that it has successfully negotiated the issuance of C$500,000,000 in debentures on the Canadian domestic market. The debentures, designated as Series JU, will mature on February 15, 2065.
Debenture Details and Pricing
The debentures carry a coupon of 4.00%, payable semi-annually. They will be offered at a price of 86.834, plus interest deemed to have accrued from February 15, 2026, resulting in a yield of 4.747%. The closing date for the issuance is scheduled for July 13, 2026.

National Bank Financial Inc. serves as the lead manager for this issue. BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc. are acting as co-lead managers. This marks the sixteenth additional tranche of Debentures, Series JU, which were initially issued on September 19, 2024. With this latest issuance, the total aggregate principal amount of debentures outstanding under Series JU now stands at C$8,500,000,000.
