The Andersons, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANDE) has announced the appointment of David R. Heppner to its board of directors, effective June 18, 2026.
David R. Heppner's Background
Mr. Heppner currently serves as chief strategy officer and senior vice president of business development at Marathon Petroleum Corporation, a leading integrated downstream energy company. He also holds the position of senior vice president at MPLX GP LLC.
With nearly four decades of experience, Heppner brings extensive expertise in engineering, operations, and commercial leadership. Since joining Marathon in 1988, he has held progressively responsible roles in engineering, project management, and business development. Notably, he served as vice president of operations and senior vice president of engineering services and corporate support at Speedway.
He later became vice president of commercial and business development, was named senior vice president of strategy and business development in 2021, and assumed his current role in 2024.
Community Involvement
Mr. Heppner is actively engaged in community and industry organizations. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Ohio Northern University and has previously held leadership roles with Habitat for Humanity, the United Way, Boy Scouts of America, and the March of Dimes. Additionally, he has served on the board of Dayton Children’s Hospital Foundation and other organizations.
