A Whitby woman was robbed outside her home late Sunday night, and Durham Regional Police are searching for two suspects who remain outstanding.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on May 31, 2026, in the area of Dundas Street West and Garden Street. The victim, a woman in her 30s, was approached by two unknown males as she was entering her residence. The suspects demanded her belongings and forcibly took her purse before fleeing on foot.
Police say the victim did not sustain any physical injuries but was shaken by the ordeal. Officers responded to the scene and conducted a search of the surrounding area, but the suspects were not located.
Both suspects are described as males in their late teens or early 20s, wearing dark clothing. No further descriptions have been released at this time.
Investigators are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area to contact Durham Regional Police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
