Satellite Tech Featured in Hollywood Film Helios

In an exciting fusion of cutting-edge technology and cinematic storytelling, satellite communications leader Cobham Satcom has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Hollywood production companies for the upcoming sci-fi space thriller Helios.

Space Meets Silver Screen

The Denmark-headquartered company with US research and development operations revealed on November 11, 2025 that it has signed an agreement with Centerboro Productions and All In Films to feature its advanced satellite communication technology prominently in the major studio production.

Under the partnership, Cobham Satcom will serve as a corporate brand sponsor and showcase its TACTICAL TRACKER antenna systems within the film's narrative. The technology plays a crucial role in enabling the main protagonist, a NASA astronaut-scientist, to save Earth from impending disaster.

Real Technology in Futuristic Scenario

Christophe Duret, CEO of Cobham Satcom, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. "We're excited to collaborate with Centerboro Productions and All In Films on this major Hollywood production," Duret stated. "We're especially proud that they turned to Cobham Satcom to showcase the latest innovations in satellite communications."

The executive emphasized that being featured in a space-themed film exploring how their technology functions in high-stakes scenarios represents a unique and thrilling opportunity for the company. "It highlights the capabilities of Cobham Satcom and aligns with our mission of safeguarding and connecting people and ideas," Duret added.

Film Visionaries Embrace Authentic Tech

Patricia A. Beninati, producer, writer, and president of Centerboro Productions, shared the production team's perspective on the partnership. "We're beyond excited to join forces with Cobham Satcom," Beninati said. "Their groundbreaking satellite communication technology fits seamlessly into the world of Helios."

The film aims to present a vision of Low Earth Orbit in 2030 that feels thrillingly realistic, incorporating actual technological innovations rather than purely fictional concepts. Beninati emphasized that Helios isn't just about spectacle but about showcasing today's space pioneers while exploring how humanity might confront future challenges.

Robert Feierbach, Executive Producer and Space Advisor for the project, explained the filmmakers' commitment to technological authenticity. "Every technology you see — including Cobham Satcom's quick deploy TACTICAL TRACKER satellite systems — is grounded in real innovations being built today by the global space industry," Feierbach noted.

Helios: A Mission to Save Humanity

Set in the near future of 2030, Helios follows the urgent mission of a spaceship crew traveling to the International Space Station as a massive solar flare from an incoming cataclysmic solar storm threatens both the station and Earth.

The story centers on astronomer and former NASA Astronaut Jess Denver and Air Force Colonel Sam Adler, who must team up to save humanity from the solar catastrophe. The film is directed by Michelle Danner, who recently directed Miranda's Victim featuring Abigail Breslin.

Helios represents a co-production between All In Films and Centerboro Productions, with an experienced team including Patricia A. Beninati, Todd Slater of Convoke Media, Marilyn G. Haft, Michelle Danner, Valerie Debler, Alexandra Guarnieri, Brian Drillinger, and Robert Feierbach serving as executive producers.

The collaboration between Cobham Satcom and the Hollywood production marks a significant moment where real space technology meets cinematic imagination, potentially inspiring future generations of space enthusiasts and innovators while delivering heart-pounding entertainment to audiences worldwide.
