Westhaven Reports High-Grade Gold and Silver at Shovelnose

Westhaven Gold Corp. (TSX-V: WHN) (OTCQB: WTHVF) (FRA: 1W5) has announced continued progress on its 2026 exploration program at the Shovelnose gold and silver project in southern British Columbia. The company reported results from an additional 10 drill holes from ongoing mineral resource infill drilling at the South Zone deposit.

High-Grade Results at South Zone

Notable intercepts include 8.12 meters grading 47.56 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 229 g/t silver within a broader 33.0-meter interval grading 14.00 g/t gold and 78 g/t silver. Another highlight is 24.63 meters grading 9.51 g/t gold and 44 g/t silver, reinforcing the continuity and scale of mineralization.

Drilling Program Progress

The 2026 drilling program is advancing on schedule, with 11,514 meters (40 holes) completed, representing approximately 33% of the planned mineral resource drilling. Four drills are currently active at the site: three focused on resource infill drilling and one on a 1,200-meter hydrogeological program supporting pre-feasibility studies.

Ken Armstrong, President and CEO of Westhaven, commented: "Early results from resource infill drilling at the South Zone deposit continue to meet expectations, with several highlight intercepts. The 2026 drilling program is progressing on schedule, with four drills turning on the property as of May 15, 2026."

Strategic Partnership with Dundee Corporation

This work is funded under a strategic earn-in agreement with Dundee Corporation, whereby Dundee may earn up to a 60% interest in Westhaven's four Spences Bridge Gold Belt properties through up to CDN$85,000,000 in staged project expenditures. Under the first phase, Dundee has committed a minimum of CDN$30,000,000, including a fully funded 50,000-meter drill program and pre-feasibility work at Shovelnose.

Key Highlights

  • 11,514 meters of drilling (40 holes) completed within the South Zone deposit, representing ~33% of the planned program.
  • Assay results from 10 drill holes reported, bringing total reported results to 24 holes (6,102 meters; ~17% of planned infill drilling).
  • Notable results: 33.0 meters grading 14.0 g/t gold and 78 g/t silver, including 8.12 meters grading 47.56 g/t gold and 229 g/t silver (SNR26-73); and 24.63 meters grading 9.51 g/t gold and 44 g/t silver (SNR26-74).
  • Three drills conducting resource infill drilling; fourth drill one-third through a first-phase 1,200-meter hydrogeological program.
  • Airborne geophysical surveys completed; final data processing and reporting expected by mid-summer to guide exploration drilling.

South Zone Mineral Resource Infill Drilling

The 35,000-meter South Zone mineral resource drilling program is designed to infill the deposit at nominal 25-meter centers. Results will support an updated mineral resource estimate for a preliminary feasibility study (PFS), as detailed in Westhaven's May 7, 2026 news release. To date, 40 drill holes (11,514 meters) have been completed, approximately 33% of the planned program.
