Factorial Raises $150M Series D, Valuation Hits $2.5B

Factorial, Europe's leading AI Workforce Operations Platform, has announced the closing of a $150 million Series D funding round, propelling its valuation to over $2.5 billion. This milestone makes Factorial one of the most valuable AI scale-ups in Europe, surpassing many Spanish and European peers.

Investment Details

The Series D round is led by General Catalyst, marking its first equity investment in Factorial. Other investors include Atomico and Four Rivers. Alongside the equity round, General Catalyst has committed an additional $540 million through its Customer Value Fund, bringing total capital committed to over $700 million. This funding will support Factorial's sales and marketing investments without additional dilution, enabling sustainable growth.

Transformation to AI Workforce Operations Platform

The funding accelerates Factorial's transformation from a SaaS company to an AI-first Workforce Operations Platform. The company aims to become the single agentic infrastructure for European companies, focusing on deepening penetration in markets like Germany. Factorial's platform now leverages AI agents to help over 16,000 businesses across 90+ countries streamline their workforce operations.

Jordi Romero, CEO and co-founder of Factorial, commented: "Ten years ago we built Factorial as a SaaS company. Today we are an AI-first company, building agents for our customers. We have reset the product, the architecture, and the way our customers run their work around AI agents. General Catalyst's partnership gives us the conviction and the capital to turn that reset into a category-defining business."

Market Position and Growth

With this round, Factorial crosses the $2.5 billion valuation mark, entering the top 20 most valuable scale-ups within the European Union. The company's growth reflects a decade of accelerated expansion, a loyal customer base, and a product strategy that has successfully internationalized across competitive European markets. Factorial is the only company in its sector to achieve such broad market penetration.

General Catalyst's First Equity Stake

General Catalyst's equity investment follows its earlier engagement through the Customer Value Fund, where Factorial demonstrated strong unit economics. This performance built conviction in Factorial's long-term trajectory, from product innovation to financial discipline and European market leadership. The equity stake coincides with Factorial's business model reset from a SaaS company to a human-first AI Workforce Operations Platform.
