These aircraft will be operated by Metrea, a leading defense company specializing in effects-as-a-service, on behalf of the Australian Border Force. The company has invested heavily in the region, opening a Melbourne Service Center in 2022 at Essendon Fields Airport and a Line Maintenance Station in Perth in March 2025. Additionally, Bombardier Defense established its first international office in Adelaide in May 2024, enhancing support for special mission customers.
