The City of Winnipeg has revealed the schedule for registering children in summer swimming lessons. Parents and guardians will be able to enroll their kids starting June 12 for a variety of swim programs offered at indoor and outdoor pools across the city.
Registration Details
Registration opens online at 7:00 AM on June 12 for all swim lessons and aquatic programs. In-person registration at leisure centres will begin at 8:00 AM on the same day. The city recommends registering early to secure a spot, as popular classes fill up quickly.
Available Programs
The city offers lessons for all ages and skill levels, including parent and tot classes, preschool swim lessons, and levels for children and youth up to advanced swimmers. Private and semi-private lessons are also available for those seeking more personalized instruction.
“Swimming is an essential life skill, and our lessons provide a safe and fun environment for children to learn,” said a city spokesperson. “We encourage families to explore the options and register promptly.”
Important Reminders
Participants should arrive with appropriate swimwear, towels, and any necessary flotation devices. The city also reminds parents to review the refund and cancellation policies before registering.
