A man has been hospitalized with critical, potentially life-threatening injuries after being hit by a transit bus in Surrey on Saturday night.
Collision at 128th Street and 96th Avenue
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., the Surrey Police Service responded to reports of a seriously injured pedestrian at the intersection of 128th Street and 96th Avenue. When officers arrived, the man was being treated by B.C. Emergency Health Service paramedics. A Coast Mountain bus driver was present at the scene.
The adult male was transported to hospital with what Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton described as “critical, potentially life-threatening injuries.”
Investigation Ongoing
The cause of the crash is not yet known. The intersection was closed for several hours overnight but has since reopened. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has information or dashcam footage to call 604-599-0502.
