Caroline ‘KK’ Harvey: Goldeneyes’ No. 1 Draft Pick on Vancouver

Caroline “KK” Harvey, the first overall pick in the 2026 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) draft by the Vancouver Goldeneyes, says she is proud to represent Vancouver and is eager to start her professional career north of the border.

A Dream Realized

In an interview with Your Morning Vancouver, Harvey described the moment she heard her name called as “surreal” and “a dream come true.” The defenseman, who previously played for the University of Wisconsin, was widely regarded as the top prospect in the draft class.

“Represent Vancouver proudly — that’s my mindset,” Harvey said. “I’m ready to give everything I have for this team and this city.”

Why Vancouver?

Harvey noted that Vancouver’s strong hockey culture and passionate fan base were major factors in her excitement. She also praised the Goldeneyes’ organization for its commitment to building a championship-caliber team.

“From the moment I met with the coaching staff and front office, I felt a connection,” she said. “They have a clear vision, and I want to be a part of it.”

Looking Ahead

The 21-year-old Harvey is expected to make an immediate impact on the Goldeneyes’ blue line, bringing offensive skill and physical play. She tallied 15 goals and 42 assists in 38 games during her final collegiate season.

“I want to come in and earn the trust of my teammates and coaches,” Harvey said. “I know there’s a lot of work ahead, but I’m ready for the challenge.”

The Goldeneyes will open their season in November, and Harvey is already preparing for training camp. “I can’t wait to get on the ice in a Goldeneyes jersey,” she added.
