Kasey Petry of the Taber Minor Hockey Association described the community's reaction as fantastic and unreal, noting that many never expected to reach this stage. Since the announcement, Taber has been celebrating with widespread social media reposts and upcoming events, including a street hockey tournament hosted by Play On! Canada and a benefit concert sponsored by Spider Entertainment and the Taber Titans.

In December, the Taber Community Centre suffered extreme damage to its arena and curling rink areas due to an explosion in the facility's small ice resurfacer room. Petry emphasized that winning Kraft Hockeyville would make a huge difference, allowing kids to play in Taber again and potentially accelerating the reopening of the large ice rink by August 1.

Petry added that neighboring communities like Burdett, Rolling Hills, Warner, and Vauxhall have rallied support by offering practice spaces, underscoring the regional solidarity in this effort.
