Sceptres Sign Jamie Lee Rattray to Two-Year PWHL Deal

The Toronto Sceptres have signed veteran forward Jamie Lee Rattray to a two-year contract in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL), the team announced Thursday.

Contract Details and Player Background

The deal runs through the 2027-28 season. Rattray, 33, brings extensive experience to the Sceptres' lineup. A native of Kanata, Ontario, she has played professionally in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) and the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) before joining the PWHL.

Rattray was originally selected by the Boston Fleet in the 2023 PWHL Draft. She spent the 2025-26 season with the Ottawa Charge, recording 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in 45 games. Over her PWHL career, she has accumulated 28 goals and 42 assists in 108 regular-season contests.

Impact on the Sceptres

“Jamie is a proven scorer and a leader in our league,” said Sceptres general manager Gina Kingsbury in a statement. “Her experience and skill will be invaluable as we continue to build a championship-caliber team.”

Rattray has also represented Canada internationally, winning gold medals at the IIHF Women's World Championship in 2019 and 2021. She adds depth to a Toronto forward group that includes star players like Sarah Nurse and Natalie Spooner.

Contract Terms

Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed. The PWHL operates under a salary cap system, with player salaries ranging from $35,000 to $80,000 per season under the current collective bargaining agreement.
