Shohei Ohtani drove in a season-high five runs, including a two-run triple, to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 10-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday night in Anaheim.
Ohtani's Offensive Explosion
The two-way star went 3-for-5 at the plate, falling a home run short of the cycle. His two-run triple in the eighth inning was initially ruled a three-run inside-the-park home run, but after official review, it was changed to a two-run triple due to a throwing error on the play.
Ohtani also singled twice and drove in runs with a sacrifice fly, raising his batting average to .310 on the season. The performance marked his highest RBI total in a single game since joining the Dodgers in the offseason.
Dominant Pitching and Team Effort
Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow pitched six strong innings, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out eight. The bullpen held the Angels scoreless over the final three frames.
Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman each added two hits and combined for three RBIs, while Will Smith homered in the fourth inning. The Dodgers' offense pounded out 14 hits against Angels pitching.
Angels Struggle to Keep Pace
Angels starter Reid Detmers took the loss, surrendering five runs over five innings. Los Angeles managed only seven hits, with Taylor Ward and Logan O'Hoppe each driving in a run.
The victory improved the Dodgers' record to 32-15, while the Angels fell to 22-25. The two teams will conclude their three-game series on Sunday.
