The Windsor Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in identifying a suspect following an assault on a 16-year-old teenager that occurred on the city's east side. The incident took place on May 11, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the 4800 block of Wyandotte Street East.
Details of the Incident
According to police, a group of teenagers was walking to a nearby restaurant when a red Ford Mustang convertible allegedly drove by them in an erratic manner. An argument broke out between one of the teens and an individual inside the vehicle. The car then turned around and entered the restaurant parking lot.
A man exited the vehicle and allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with the teenager. After the assault, the man fled on foot, running westbound along Wyandotte Street East, while the vehicle was also driven westbound on the same street.
Victim's Condition and Suspect Description
The 16-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening. The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, approximately 20 to 25 years of age. He is wanted on a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
Police have released a photo captured by video surveillance showing a newer model red Mustang believed to be involved in the incident.
