Thunder Bay police say a driver found sleeping at the wheel had $150,000 in cash inside the vehicle. The incident occurred on a city street early Tuesday morning.
Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery
Officers on patrol noticed a vehicle parked in an unusual location with the engine running. Upon approaching, they found the driver asleep. A search of the vehicle revealed a large sum of cash, along with drugs and a weapon.
Charges Laid
The driver, a 34-year-old Thunder Bay resident, faces charges including possession of property obtained by crime, drug trafficking, and weapons offenses. The cash was seized as evidence.
