Peel Regional Police are investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend in Brampton, with officers now searching for multiple suspects. The incident took place on Saturday evening in the area of Queen Street East and Kennedy Road South.
Details of the Incident
Police responded to reports of gunfire around 9:30 p.m. on June 20. Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a shooting but no victims. Investigators believe the suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
“We are looking for several individuals in connection with this incident,” said Peel Regional Police Constable Sarah Thompson. “Fortunately, no one was injured, but we take these events very seriously.”
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation is in its early stages, and police have not released descriptions of the suspects or a possible motive. They are reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses.
