Gas and diesel prices have decreased in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, bringing some relief to drivers in both provinces. The changes took effect early Thursday morning, according to the respective provincial regulatory bodies.
New Brunswick Fuel Price Update
In New Brunswick, the price of regular self-serve gasoline dropped by 4.2 cents per litre, bringing the new maximum price to 148.3 cents per litre. Diesel prices also fell, decreasing by 3.8 cents per litre to a maximum of 171.5 cents per litre. The price of furnace oil remained unchanged at 118.5 cents per litre.
Prince Edward Island Fuel Price Update
On Prince Edward Island, regular unleaded gasoline decreased by 4.0 cents per litre, now priced at a maximum of 148.2 cents per litre. Diesel fuel dropped by 3.6 cents per litre to a maximum of 171.3 cents per litre. Furnace oil prices also remained steady on the Island at 119.5 cents per litre.
The price adjustments come amid fluctuating global oil markets and are part of the regular weekly price setting mechanisms in both provinces. Drivers are encouraged to fill up now to take advantage of the lower rates.
