Two vehicles destroyed in suspicious Brockton fire

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a suspicious fire in Brockton that destroyed two vehicles early Tuesday morning. The fire was reported at approximately 2:30 a.m. on June 23, 2026, in the area of Bruce Road 3 and Concession 6. Officers from the South Bruce OPP detachment responded to the scene along with the Brockton Fire Department.

Fire deemed suspicious

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but both vehicles were completely destroyed. The OPP have deemed the fire suspicious and are treating it as a criminal investigation. No injuries were reported.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area around the time of the fire to contact them. They are also seeking dashcam footage from motorists who were traveling on Bruce Road 3 or nearby roads between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on June 23.

OPP seek public assistance

“We are asking anyone with information, including dashcam video, to please come forward,” said OPP Constable Kristylee Varley. “Even the smallest detail could be crucial to the investigation.”

The OPP have not released details about the owners of the vehicles or the possible motive for the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
