Two Rescued from Roof After Saskatoon Townhouse Fire

Two people were rescued from the roof of a burning townhouse in Saskatoon on Wednesday afternoon. The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to the blaze in the 300 block of Avenue R South around 12:30 p.m.

Firefighters Act Quickly

Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the townhouse. Two occupants had climbed onto the roof to escape the fire. Firefighters used a ladder to bring them to safety.

No injuries were reported. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and damage estimates are pending.
