Police in Sioux Lookout have seized drugs believed to be worth $175,000 following an investigation into drug trafficking linked to individuals from Toronto. The bust, announced Wednesday, involved the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Sioux Lookout Police Service.

Details of the Seizure

The drugs, including cocaine and methamphetamine, were found during a search warrant executed at a residence in Sioux Lookout. Officers also recovered cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Charges Laid

Two suspects, both from the Toronto area, have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and other related offenses. They are scheduled to appear in court in Sioux Lookout next week.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may be made. The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $175,000, making it one of the largest drug busts in the region this year.
