North Bay firefighters responded to a basement fire on Dane Avenue just after 8 p.m. on July 8, with all three fire stations dispatched to the scene. The blaze caused approximately $100,000 in damage, according to officials.
Response and Containment
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the basement of a single-family home. They quickly brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the structure. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The North Bay Fire Department reminded residents to check smoke alarms and practice home fire safety. The home sustained significant smoke and water damage, and the occupants are receiving assistance from the local Red Cross.
