Michel Mizrahi, the victim of a fatal shooting in Montreal, is being remembered by family and friends as a devoted father and loyal friend. The 45-year-old was shot and killed in the city's Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood on Tuesday evening.
Community mourns loss
Mizrahi's loved ones described him as a kind and generous man who always put his family first. “He was a devoted father to his two children and a true friend to many,” said a family spokesperson. The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs also expressed condolences, noting Mizrahi's involvement in the local Jewish community.
Police have not yet made any arrests in connection with the shooting, which occurred near a residential area. Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Montreal police responded to reports of gunfire around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers found Mizrahi suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and authorities are exploring all possibilities.
