Councillor Pitches Transformation of Robertson Road in Bells Corners

Ottawa councillor Laine Johnson has proposed a comprehensive redesign of Robertson Road in the Bells Corners area, aiming to improve pedestrian safety, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance the overall streetscape. The proposal, unveiled on April 27, 2026, includes wider sidewalks, dedicated bike lanes, and improved crosswalks.

The conceptual image, provided by the consulting firm Mobycon, shows a vibrant corridor with green spaces and modern infrastructure. Johnson emphasized that the project would revitalize the neighborhood and support local businesses.

Community consultations are expected to begin in the coming weeks, with construction potentially starting in 2027 if funding is approved.
