This year's Parade Marshals are Canadian Olympic medallists Courtney Sarault and Mikaël Kingsbury. Sarault made history at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games as the first Canadian short track speed skater to win four medals at a single Olympics. Kingsbury added two more Olympic medals to his skiing career. Comedian and actor Andrew Phung, known for his role in Kim's Convenience, will serve as the Celebrity Judge, selecting his favourite entry from all categories.

“The Parade is a tradition that is shared by the entire city,” said Keith Marlowe, Volunteer Chair of the Calgary Stampede Parade Committee. “As we prepare to welcome thousands of spectators, we encourage everyone to plan ahead and arrive early to enjoy the outstanding Parade Prelude.”

Afternoon Rodeo Competitions

The rodeo runs daily from July 3 to July 12, featuring professional cowboys and cowgirls competing in bareback riding, bull riding, barrel racing, tie-down roping, and steer wrestling. The competition culminates in a “Showdown Sunday” on July 12, where $2.1 million in prize money is shared across seven events. Rodeo shows take place from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with tickets ranging from $38 to over $300.

“It’s a showcase of Western hospitality, Western heritage,” said Julie Forget, spokesperson for the festival. “And then sprinkling in a massive festival with all the music and the midway rides and the crazy foods, there really is something for everybody.”
