Calgary dad: Boy on scooter hit sleeping baby in stroller

On June 16, 2026, between 4:30 and 5 p.m., a Calgary father was pushing his 9-month-old son in a stroller in the 0 to 100 block of Country Village Gate N.E., near Coventry Hills Boulevard in northwest Calgary. The baby was sleeping when a boy on a scooter reportedly struck him in the stomach area, leaving red marks.

Incident Details

According to the father, the boy, believed to be about 10 years old with short blond hair and wearing a t-shirt, rode by on a scooter and reached out to hit the baby before riding off. The parent shared photographs showing red marks on the child's torso.

Police Appeal

The Calgary Police Service is asking the public for help identifying the suspect. They are seeking CCTV footage or any information that could lead to the boy's identity.
