A 66-year-old man has been identified as the pedestrian killed while crossing a road in Toronto’s west end early Sunday morning, according to police.

Collision details

Toronto police responded to a collision at approximately 1:56 a.m. on June 23, 2026, in the area of St. Clair Avenue West and Old Weston Road. The pedestrian was crossing the road when he was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said. No charges have been laid at this time as the investigation continues.

Victim identification

The victim has been identified as a 66-year-old man from Toronto. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
