A two-alarm fire broke out Wednesday morning at a townhouse complex in north Edmonton, drawing a significant response from Edmonton Fire Rescue Services.
The fire was reported at approximately 11:30 a.m. near the area of 132 Avenue and 82 Street. Firefighters arrived to find flames and heavy smoke coming from a multi-unit townhouse building.
Crews worked quickly to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to adjacent units. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Residents were evacuated as a precaution, and traffic in the area was affected during the response. The fire was declared under control within an hour.
