Woman Hospitalized After Evening Shooting in North Surrey

A woman was injured after her home in the 12100-block of 101B Avenue in Surrey became the target of a shooting on Sunday night. The Surrey Police Service responded to reports of shots fired just after 9:10 p.m. and confirmed that several individuals were inside the residence at the time of the incident.

Police Investigation and Public Appeal for Information

According to authorities, the injured woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police have stated that her injuries are considered non-life-threatening. The motive for the shooting is currently unknown and remains under active investigation.

Investigators have not yet linked this violent event to the recent series of extortion-related violence that has been affecting the region.
