Major Drug Bust on Windsor's West Side

Police in Windsor have made a significant dent in local drug trafficking operations, arresting two individuals and confiscating illicit substances and cash valued at almost $30,000. The operation, which targeted suspects allegedly selling drugs near schools, culminated in a search of a residence on Sandwich Street.

Details of the Investigation and Seizure

According to authorities, the Windsor Police Service drugs and guns enforcement unit initiated an investigation into two people suspected of trafficking narcotics in the city's west end. The investigation led officers to execute a search warrant on Wednesday, November 22, 2025.

With the assistance of the Emergency Services Unit, a thorough search of the home in the 3300 block of Sandwich Street was conducted. The items seized during this operation included:

  • 23.3 grams of fentanyl
  • $16,335 in Canadian currency
  • Two digital scales
  • Four cell phones
  • Various drug packaging materials

Police confirmed that the combined estimated street value of the seized fentanyl and cash is close to $30,000.

Charges Filed and Call for Information

As a result of the bust, a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were taken into custody. Police noted that both accused individuals have ties to the Greater Toronto Area.

Each man now faces serious criminal charges, including:

  • Possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000
