Rainy weather continues to linger over Ottawa, but residents can look forward to sunshine arriving soon. According to the latest forecast, the city will experience cloudy skies and intermittent showers throughout the day, with temperatures hovering around 15°C. However, conditions are expected to improve by the weekend, bringing clear skies and warmer temperatures.
Current Conditions
The morning started with overcast skies and light drizzle, making for a damp commute. The rain is expected to taper off by the afternoon, but clouds will persist. Winds are light, coming from the northeast at 10 km/h. Humidity is high, at 85%, contributing to the grey feel.
Weekend Outlook
By Saturday, a high-pressure system will move in, pushing the clouds away. Temperatures are forecast to climb to 22°C under sunny skies. Sunday will be even warmer, with a high of 25°C and plenty of sunshine. It will be a perfect weekend for outdoor activities after the midweek wet spell.
Environment Canada advises residents to keep umbrellas handy for today but to plan for outdoor plans later in the week. The rainy pattern is typical for early June in the region, but the upcoming shift will be a welcome change.
