In a significant crackdown on illegal drug activities, the Windsor Police Service has successfully concluded an investigation that resulted in the seizure of drugs valued at over $15,000 and the arrest of two individuals accused of trafficking. Details of the Arrest and Seizure

The investigation targeted a pair suspected of selling illegal drugs, culminating in their arrest on April 15 at approximately 7 p.m. at a residence located in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. During the arrest, one suspect was found with 16 hydromorphone tablets and $400 in Canadian currency on their person.

To assist with the search of the premises, police dog Smoke was deployed, leading to the discovery of a substantial cache of narcotics. Investigators confiscated 110 grams of fentanyl, 10.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 442 hydromorphone tablets, 56 oxycodone tablets, and eight bottles of liquid methadone.

In addition to the drugs, authorities seized $5,900 in cash, US$655, two digital scales, and various packaging materials, all indicative of trafficking operations. The total street value of the confiscated substances is estimated to exceed $15,000, highlighting the scale of the illegal activity.

Charges Filed Against the Suspects

A 55-year-old man faces multiple charges, including seven counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. He is also charged with two counts of operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited and two counts of driving while disqualified.

A 43-year-old woman has been charged with six counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a release order. These charges reflect the serious nature of the offenses and the legal consequences for drug trafficking in Canada.
