Toronto police have charged two men with murder following a violent altercation in North York over the weekend that left one person dead.
Incident Details
The brawl took place early Sunday morning near Yonge Street and Finch Avenue. Officers responded to reports of a disturbance and found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives launched an investigation and identified two suspects. Both were arrested later that day.
Charges Filed
Police have charged the men, aged 24 and 27, with second-degree murder. They appeared in court on Monday.
The accused are being held in custody pending a bail hearing. Their names have not been released to protect the integrity of the investigation.
Victim Identified
The victim has been identified as a 32-year-old man from Toronto. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage from the area to come forward.
