Toronto Police have issued a public appeal for assistance in identifying a suspect and locating a vehicle connected to a serious firearm investigation. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, prompting an urgent response from law enforcement authorities.
Firearm Incident Details
According to police reports, officers responded to a call regarding a suspicious incident in the Gerrard Street East and Woodbine Avenue area around 2:15 a.m. on Friday. The suspect was operating a white Chrysler Pacifica when he allegedly became involved in an altercation with another driver.
The situation escalated when the suspect used his vehicle to block the victim's car from moving. He then exited his vehicle while allegedly brandishing a firearm before returning to his car and fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this confrontation.
Suspect Description
Police have released a detailed description of the individual they are seeking. The suspect is described as a man with an olive complexion, approximately 40 years old, bald with a beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a green sweater. Authorities have also released an image of the suspect's vehicle to aid in public identification.

Movie Theatre Gun Hoax
In a separate incident, Durham Regional Police have charged two men and a male youth from Ajax after an incident at a Whitby movie theatre. On March 17 around 11:20 p.m., police responded to an armed person call at Landmark Cinemas located at 75 Consumers Drive.
Customers were forced to evacuate a theatre after several males yelled that someone had a firearm. Further investigation revealed that the individuals were allegedly creating social media content and had intentionally created a false disturbance to generate reactions they could film. No injuries were reported.
Charged in connection with this incident are Fique Wamiq Ayub, 23, Jaiden Joseph-Anthony Mosquera, and a 17-year-old male. All face charges of causing a disturbance and mischief.
Hamilton Stabbing Incident
Hamilton Police have charged a 28-year-old male in connection with a stabbing that occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday. Police were called to the area of King Street and Victoria Avenue North around 3:30 a.m. after receiving reports of an injured male.
Officers arrived to find a 26-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to his torso. They provided first aid before the victim was transported to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was located within minutes and taken into custody without incident.
Road-Rage Firearm Charges
Durham Regional Police have charged a 48-year-old Clarington man with multiple firearm offenses following an investigation into two separate road-rage incidents. The investigation began in February after reports that the suspect had allegedly pointed a firearm at two different motorists during road-rage confrontations.
On April 1, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Courtice, where they located and seized a firearm with a prohibited overcapacity magazine. The suspect's SUV, allegedly involved in the incidents, was also located and confirmed to be stolen with altered vehicle identification numbers.
Le Var Shamari Lewin faces seven firearm-related charges and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. At the time of his arrest, the accused was already subject to three separate firearm prohibitions.
BB Gun Attack in Ajax
Durham Police are searching for two males following an armed robbery involving an imitation firearm in Ajax. The incident occurred on Friday around 1:55 p.m. in the Delaney Drive and Westney Road area.
According to police, the victim had arranged a meeting through Snapchat to sell a watch to the suspect. When the suspect tried on the watch and began walking back to his vehicle while still wearing it, the victim demanded its return. The suspect then allegedly pulled out what appeared to be a firearm and shot toward the victim several times.
The victim suffered minor injuries after being struck once by what police believe was a BB pellet. The suspect fled to a waiting black SUV driven by a second suspect.
Shoppers Drug Mart Robbery
A 35-year-old Oshawa man faces multiple charges after allegedly stealing items from a Shoppers Drug Mart in the Oshawa Centre and threatening security personnel with a knife. The incident occurred on Monday around 11:10 a.m. at 419 King Street West.
Police allege the male entered the store, concealed items in a personal bag, and attempted to flee. When confronted by security, he allegedly made threats while armed with a knife. Officers located the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody without incident.
Alexander Joseph Callaghan faces six charges including assault with a weapon and breach of probation. At the time of his arrest, he was already subject to a weapon prohibition condition.
These incidents collectively represent a concerning pattern of weapon-related crimes across the Greater Toronto Area, with law enforcement agencies actively investigating each case and seeking public assistance where appropriate.
