Toronto Police have charged four individuals with multiple firearm offences following a targeted raid in North York. The operation, conducted by officers from the 31 Division major crime unit, involved searches at a residential address and a vehicle in the Keele Street and Finch Avenue West area on Tuesday, March 26, 2026.

During the searches, police allege that a loaded firearm was tossed off a balcony and later recovered nearby. A second firearm was reportedly found in the vehicle. The charges stem from these discoveries, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat illegal weapons in the city.

Charges and Suspect Details

The individuals charged include Joshua Parag, 25, of Toronto, who faces counts of uttering death threats and multiple firearm-related offences, such as unauthorized possession, careless storage, and failure to comply with a release order. Derek Parag, 56, Jasmine Parag, 21, and Wendy Parag, 55, all of Toronto, were each charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, careless storage, and possession of a prohibited device. Wendy Parag faces additional counts of possession of an unloaded regulated firearm.

Separate Sex Assault Investigation

In an unrelated case, Toronto Police are seeking the public's help to identify a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Flemingdon Park. The incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the St. Dennis Drive and Linkwood Lane area. According to police, the suspect approached the female victim in the hallway of an apartment building, followed her, and sexually assaulted her before fleeing when confronted.

The victim did not sustain physical injuries. The suspect is described as a male, 25 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall with an average build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a brown hoodie, dark blue zip-up jacket, and light brown shoes with white soles.

Additional Incident: Teen Pedestrian Critical

In a separate development, a 15-year-old male pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle near St. Oscar Romero Catholic Secondary School in the York area. The collision happened on Wednesday at about 2:35 p.m. at Humber Boulevard and Louvain Street. Police report that the teen was crossing at a crosswalk when he was hit by a black Toyota Corolla Cross driven by a 71-year-old man, who remained at the scene.

The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police are requesting anyone with security or dashcam footage to come forward by calling 416-808-1900 or contacting Crime Stoppers.
