Toronto Police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a disturbing voyeurism incident in Scarborough, where a man was captured on surveillance video committing an indecent act while looking into a residence. The investigation comes alongside a separate police operation in North York that led to the seizure of a loaded handgun and related charges against a 20-year-old man.

Scarborough Voyeurism Probe: Suspect Description Released

According to authorities, the incident in Scarborough occurred in the Birchmount Road and Finch Avenue East area. Police were called to the scene on Monday, December 23, 2025, shortly after 6:00 p.m., for a report of a suspicious person.

Investigators revealed that the same individual was seen entering various backyards on that Monday evening as well as on Saturday, December 21, at approximately 5:45 p.m.. Security footage later showed the man committing an indecent act while peering into the victim's home.

When confronted, the suspect allegedly claimed to be delivering food. He was last seen walking in the direction of Timberbank Park.

Police Appeal for Public Assistance

Toronto Police have released a detailed description of the individual and believe there may be additional victims. The suspect is described as:

  • Between 35 and 50 years old.
  • Approximately 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 in height with a medium to large build.
  • Last seen wearing black running shoes with white soles, black track pants, a blue nylon jacket with a hood (featuring a white mark on the left sleeve), and a dark baseball cap.

Separate Firearms Seizure in North York

In an unrelated matter, Toronto Police executed a search warrant in North York on Monday, leading to a significant firearms seizure. The warrant was carried out at a residence in the Vendome Place and Grenoble Drive area.

During the search, officers located and confiscated a loaded Glock 27 firearm, an extended magazine, and a quantity of ammunition.

Charges Laid in Weapons Case

As a result of the discovery, Ayden Murray, 20, of Toronto, was arrested and now faces multiple criminal charges, including:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
  • Careless storage of a firearm.
  • Possession of a prohibited device (extended magazine).
  • Failure to comply with a release order.
