Surrey Police Seek Victims in Child Exploitation Case

The Surrey Police Service has announced criminal charges against two individuals in a disturbing child exploitation case and is now making a public appeal for any additional victims to contact investigators.

Charges Laid After Investigation

A man and a woman from Surrey, British Columbia, are now facing multiple charges related to the exploitation of children. The accused have been identified as 28-year-old Carter Cooke and 21-year-old Tkhu Khyonh, who also goes by the name Mika Nhuien.

According to police, the investigation began in October 2024 after authorities received reports concerning child abuse material. The probe led investigators to identify the two suspects. The B.C. Prosecution Service subsequently approved charges, and both individuals were formally charged on December 10, 2024.

Appeal for Further Victims

The specific charges include luring a child and making child pornography. While police have not disclosed the exact number of children involved in the case to date, investigators hold a strong belief that there may be other victims who have not yet been identified.

In an effort to advance the investigation and identify any potential additional victims, the Surrey Police Service has taken the step of publicly releasing photographs of both Carter Cooke and Tkhu Khyonh (Mika) Nhuien. This move is intended to jog memories or encourage individuals with relevant information to reach out.
