Second Suspect Wanted in Brampton Homicide Case

Investigators from Peel Regional Police are urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating a second suspect connected to a fatal shooting that occurred in Brampton during the summer of 2025. The incident took place on August 19, 2025, at a residence near Castlemore Road and Humberwest Parkway, where two individuals were shot. One victim succumbed to their injuries, while the second was treated for gunshot wounds at a hospital and later released.

Details of the Suspects and Charges

In October 2025, authorities identified and arrested the first suspect, Dilpreet Singh, 24, of Brampton, who has been charged with first-degree murder. Now, police have identified a second suspect, Manpreet Singh, 29, of no fixed address. He is currently wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder and attempted murder with a firearm. Described as 5-foot-10 with a medium build, straight black hair, brown eyes, a full beard, and a right forearm tattoo reading "Manna (heart symbol) Sukh," investigators believe he may be armed and dangerous.

Toronto Man Faces Human Trafficking Charges Involving Minors

In a separate case, Toronto Police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a human trafficking investigation. Ebenezer Kodua, 24, of Toronto, was taken into custody on February 21 as part of Project Reproach, an initiative aimed at combating the purchase and sale of sexual services from minors.

Allegations and Additional Arrests

It is alleged that Kodua used deception, coercion, and control to procure and attempt to traffic an underage female victim. He has been charged with procuring a person under 18 years, trafficking in persons under 18 years by recruiting, and obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18 years. Investigators are concerned there may be other victims and have released his image to the public.

Project Reproach also led to the arrest of four additional adult males, who have been charged with obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18 years. Three Arrested in Series of York Region Break-Ins

York Regional Police have arrested three individuals in connection with more than a dozen break-and-enter incidents across Vaughan, Richmond Hill, and Markham. The investigation, dubbed Project Dora, was launched in December 2025 to address a spike in residential burglaries.

Arrests and Seizures

On Thursday, police received a tip that suspects were in the area of Tower Hill Road and Bathurst Street in Richmond Hill. With assistance from air support, officers observed the suspects enter a residence. Upon their return to a vehicle, they were arrested along with the suspected getaway driver. Authorities seized a quantity of Canadian, U.S., and Filipino currency during the operation.

The suspects, Paata Memarne, 31, of Toronto; Mikheil Shvangiradze, 44, of Toronto; and Tariel Nikuradze, 38, of Vaughan, are charged with 11 counts of breaking-and-entering, three counts of break-and-enter with intent, possession of break-and-enter tools, and participating in a criminal organization. Nikuradze also faces additional charges for breach of probation.

Leslieville Stabbing Leaves Man in Critical Condition

In another incident, a man in his 60s was left fighting for his life after a stabbing in Leslieville on Friday morning. Toronto Police responded to an apartment building near Queen Street East and Logan Avenue just before 8:30 a.m., where they found the victim with stab wounds. He was transported to hospital by Toronto medics, with the extent of his injuries not immediately known. A woman in her 30s has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
