The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is closing in on a trio of suspects linked to a series of high-value retail thefts last month, having now identified two of the three individuals involved.

Two Suspects Identified, One Remains at Large

In an update provided on December 19, 2025, police confirmed that a second suspect has been identified. This follows a previous announcement on December 16, where the first suspect was named. However, the investigation remains active as a third suspect is still outstanding.

The Ottawa Police have released a detailed description of the woman they are seeking. She is believed to be between 35 and 40 years old, standing approximately five-foot-eight to six feet tall, and weighing around 170 pounds. During the incidents, she was seen wearing a light grey hijab, a long grey winter coat, and carrying a black purse.

Details of the Theft Spree

The crimes took place on November 23, targeting businesses in the city's west end. According to police, the three suspects entered stores in three specific locations:

  • The 1700 block of Carling Avenue
  • The 300 block of Richmond Road
  • The 600 block of Eagleson Road

At each location, the individuals concealed merchandise in their clothing before fleeing the area. The stolen items were described as high-value goods.

Police Appeal for Public Assistance

The Ottawa Police are urging anyone with information about these thefts or the identity of the outstanding suspect to come forward. The lead investigator on the case is Detective Jennifer Brazeau of the West Criminal Investigations Unit.
