Edmonton police have released new video footage and are urgently requesting assistance from the public to solve a disturbing hit-and-run case that left a man in a wheelchair with serious injuries.
Details of the North Edmonton Incident
The collision occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. on October 25, 2025, in north Edmonton. According to police, two men were crossing 123 Street at the north curb of 127 Avenue when a red, four-door SUV attempted to turn left onto 123 Street from 127 Avenue.
The vehicle struck the 31-year-old man who was using a wheelchair. In a concerning twist, the driver initially stopped and briefly spoke with both pedestrians before making the decision to get back into the vehicle and flee the scene.
Police Investigation and Public Appeal
The Edmonton Police Service's Major Collisions Investigation Section has now taken over the case. The suspect vehicle was last seen heading east on 127 Avenue.
