Edmonton police are urging the public to help identify a suspect in a sexual assault that occurred in the river valley on June 23. The incident took place between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., when two female teenagers were walking west of Grand View Drive and 62 Avenue. They passed a man who then approached them from behind and sexually assaulted one of the teens before she managed to flee to a nearby neighbourhood, according to a police news release on Friday.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as being Asian or Indigenous, approximately 40 years old, with a height between five-foot-six and five-foot-eight, a thin build, and brown hair. Witnesses reported he had a slouch or slow walk and was wearing either black sweatpants or jeans at the time of the attack.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during that time to contact the Edmonton Police Service (EPS). Authorities emphasize that even small details could be crucial to the investigation.
