Durham Police Seek Help in 2023 Teen Homicide

Durham Regional Police are renewing their appeal for information regarding the 2023 homicide of 17-year-old Anthony Dixon in Pickering, Ontario. The shooting occurred on June 18, 2023, at approximately 9:40 p.m. at a housing complex located at 1580 Kingston Road.

Officers responded to the scene and, alongside paramedics, attempted life-saving measures, but Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the shots were fired from a vehicle that fled immediately after the incident.

Federal Offender Apprehended in Toronto

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad has arrested Latef Tag El Din, a federal offender who had been unlawfully at large since January 15, 2026. He was taken into custody in Toronto on a nationwide warrant.

Tag El Din is serving a sentence of two years, 11 months, and 10 days for multiple weapons-related offenses, including carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a firearm with ammunition, and possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order. He also faces charges for failure to comply with an order-at-large and failure to attend court.

Hamilton Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery

Hamilton Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on June 8, 2026, at a business near Lime Ridge Mall. At approximately 1:15 p.m., a suspect entered the business armed with a large knife and demanded cash from staff before fleeing prior to police arrival.

Oshawa Man Wanted for Counterfeit Currency

Durham Regional Police have issued a warrant for Liam Dylan Bramley-Montgomery, 30, of Oshawa, in connection with a counterfeit currency investigation. The incident occurred on March 20 at approximately 7:20 p.m. at the Oshawa Centre, located at 419 King Street West.

Police allege that Bramley-Montgomery attempted to use counterfeit money to purchase items at several businesses. When mall security attempted to detain him, he fled on foot. He is wanted for breach of probation and three counts each of fraud under $5,000 and uttering counterfeit currency.

Toronto Woman Charged in Bank Account Fraud

A 41-year-old Toronto woman, Alicia Dawn Miller, has been charged after allegedly attempting to open a bank account using a fake driver's license in Clarington. On May 28 at approximately 2:40 p.m., Durham Regional Police responded to a fraud call at a Scotiabank on Regional Highway 2.

Police say Miller had also attempted to open an account at another bank earlier that morning but was refused. She was taken into custody without incident and faces charges of possession of an identity document of another, uttering a forged document, and fraud under $5,000.
