Manhunt for Armed Suspect After Two Hurt in Mississauga

Police are searching for a 46-year-old man believed to be armed and dangerous following an incident in Mississauga that left two people hospitalized with serious injuries.

Peel Regional Police responded to a disturbance Thursday at approximately 7 p.m. in the Hurontario Street and Lakeshore Road area of Port Credit, where a large police presence was reported. A man and a woman were found with serious injuries and were transported to a hospital.

Paramedics performed life-saving measures on the victims, who were in life-threatening condition at the time of transport, according to CP24. Details regarding the nature of their injuries or the circumstances leading up to the disturbance have not been released.

Suspect Identified

Police have identified the suspect as Jordan Sangwin, 46, and are urging the public not to approach him. “Do not approach, please call 911 if seen,” police said, emphasizing that Sangwin is considered armed and dangerous.

In a social media update, Peel Regional Police shared a photo of Sangwin and reiterated that he is wanted in connection with the investigation. The post also noted that Sangwin was born on July 12, 1979.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
