Officers believe the suspects involved were operating a stolen vehicle before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim was subsequently transported to Foothills Medical Centre, where he remains in serious but stable condition. In a separate incident early Thursday morning, police responded to reports of gunfire at a residence in Martindale. Officers were called to the 200 block of Martindale Boulevard N.E. at approximately 5:27 a.m. after a homeowner reported a broken window.
Upon arrival, police found evidence indicating the damage was caused by a gunshot, including shell casings at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident. Police are treating this as a separate investigation from the Tuesday night shooting, and no suspects have been arrested.
