President Donald Trump's family will reportedly fill ringside seats at his UFC event on the White House lawn Sunday, amid revelations that invited A-listers will not attend. The fight card also celebrates Trump's 80th birthday.
Guest List Details
The guest list features first lady Melania Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and his new wife Bettina Trump, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, and Eric and Lara Trump, according to sources close to the family who spoke to the New York Post on Tuesday. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who recently gave birth to her second child, will also attend with her husband Nicholas Riccio, per the right-wing tabloid.
Celebrity No-Shows
The Daily Beast called the guest list a humiliation for Trump. Many of UFC boss Dana White's A-list invitees, such as Adam Sandler, Guy Ritchie, Tom Brady, Jared Leto, Jason Statham, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, and Mario Lopez, appear to have declined the event. 'Of that group, few, if any, will actually be there,' Vanity Fair reported.
The 5,000-seat bleachers erected for the event will also accommodate members of the military and other Trump guests. HuffPost has reached out to the White House for comment.
Recent Sporting Event
Trump's latest visit to a sporting event on Monday at Madison Square Garden was not a success. He was booed and appeared to nap during the Knicks' loss to the Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
