President Donald Trump on Friday once again slammed former MAGA mouthpiece Candace Owens, who has vocally criticized the president over his war on Iran and ongoing support for Israel, sharing a fake Time magazine cover portraying her as 'VILE PERSON OF THE YEAR.'
'Candace Owens’ stock, which was never very high, has fallen a long way,' Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. 'Her attack on the First Lady of France is despicable. I believe, in this case, without verification, she is an extremely Low IQ individual!'

Owens was sued for defamation last year by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, for claiming in an eight-part podcast series that Brigitte Macron is a transgender woman and had groomed her husband when he was still a child and she was an adult.
The fake Time magazine cover features what appears to be an altered selfie of Owens with a sepia filter. The cover Trump shared includes text reading, 'Candace Owens Lies, Lies, Lies' and 'Uses Rich White Men!'
Trump has lashed out at some of his biggest former supporters in recent weeks amid growing sentiment that he betrayed his anti-war campaign promises. The MAGA mutiny includes Owens, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, all of whom have called for Trump to be removed from office in the wake of his threat to destroy 'a whole civilization' as his wildly unpopular Iran War rages on.
Owens called Trump a 'genocidal lunatic,' while conservative pundit Megyn Kelly told him plainly to 'fucking shut up about that shit.' Meanwhile, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has called Trump a 'slave' to Israel — and recently apologized for 'misleading' people into voting for Trump in 2024.
The MAGA leader slammed all five of his former allies in a social media screed earlier this month, claiming that the only reason they are 'fighting' him is because they have 'Low IQs.' 'It may be time to put Grandpa up in a home,' Owens responded at the time on X.
Owens has also claimed that late conservative activist Charlie Kirk wasn’t killed by Tyler Robinson, the lone gunman accused in the fatal shooting last year, but by elements of the Israeli government in potential cooperation with the U.S. military.
Trump and Vice President JD Vance have appeared at several events with Erika Kirk, the late activist’s widow and newfound CEO of his TurningPoint USA organization. When asked last year what she would say to Owens, Erika Kirk said, 'Stop. That’s It. That’s all I have to say.'
