Trump Slams Carville as 'Wacko' Over Supreme Court Expansion and Statehood Push
Trump Calls Carville 'Wacko' Over Court, Statehood Plans

Former President Donald Trump launched a fiery attack on Democratic strategist James Carville this Tuesday, branding him a "Wacko" for his persistent calls to expand the Supreme Court and grant statehood to Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump accused Carville of pushing radical Democratic agendas that could reshape American politics for generations.

Trump's Truth Social Tirade Against Democratic Proposals

"Wacko James Carville, a so-called Democrat 'strategist,' wants the Democrats to make D.C. and Puerto Rico States and, most importantly, pack the Supreme Court, putting 13 Justices on the Court," Trump wrote. He further claimed that other Democrats are advocating for an even larger expansion to 21 justices. Trump warned that if these measures were implemented, "these Country Destroying Sleazebags will dominate politics in America, if we even have a Nation left, for 100 years." He concluded this portion of his rant with a dramatic call to "TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER!"

Carville's Longstanding Advocacy for Democratic Reforms

James Carville has been vocal about these proposals since at least last summer, arguing that expanding the Supreme Court and adding two new states are essential steps for "saving democracy." He reiterated his position in a recent Wall Street Journal article published on Monday. Carville, who hosts the "Politics War Room" podcast, has frequently directed profanity-laced insults at Trump, creating a contentious public feud between the two political figures.

Trump's Critique of Supreme Court Loyalty

In his Tuesday post, Trump expressed unexpected "respect" for Democratic-appointed justices, praising them for sticking "together like glue" and demonstrating "total loyalty" to those who appointed them. He contrasted this with his frustration toward Republican-appointed justices, whom he accused of letting Democrats "push them around" and showing a lack of "loyalty to the man who appointed them."

This criticism comes despite conservatives holding a 6-3 majority on the Supreme Court. The court recently dealt Trump a significant blow in February by ruling that most of his "emergency" tariffs were not properly authorized. Following that decision, Trump published an angry response, labeling multiple justices a "disgrace to our nation."

Additional Grievances: Birthright Citizenship and Tariff Refunds

Trump also used his platform to attack birthright citizenship, a constitutional right he has repeatedly sought to restrict. He described it as "an anchor wrapped firmly around" America's neck, asserting that no "successful" country could survive with such a policy. The Supreme Court is expected to issue a final ruling on related legal challenges by June or July.

Additionally, Trump lamented that American businesses could now claim refunds for the overturned tariffs, estimating that taxpayers would have saved "a minimum of $159 Billion Dollars" if the tariffs had remained. "What a difference it would have made for our Country," he wrote, before returning to his judicial appointments: "I put certain people on the United States Supreme Court who totally misrepresented who they were, and the true ideology for which they stand!"

Carville's Warnings About Trump and the GOP

Meanwhile, Carville has been issuing warnings about Trump's mental state, suggesting it is deteriorating. He has also predicted that a potential war with Iran could deliver a "knockout blow" to the Republican Party in the upcoming midterm elections, bluntly stating, "You're getting ready to get the living crap kicked out of you." This ongoing exchange highlights the deep political divisions and personal animosities shaping current national discourse.
