Donald Trump launched another series of attacks on his predecessors and the Federal Reserve chair during a posting spree on his Truth Social platform on Monday. Among numerous posts, many featuring congratulatory messages, Trump shared a cartoon image of himself with the caption "Leaders Lead."
Cartoon Targets Obama and Biden
The same image included a fake picture of former President Barack Obama appearing to bow before Iran's late Ayatollah Khamenei, captioned "Traitors Bow." This references a controversial moment from Obama's presidency when he bowed to Saudi Arabia's late King Abdullah, which sparked right-wing outrage. The image also showed President Joe Biden kneeling in a COVID-era face mask, labeled "Cowards Kneel."
Attack on Jerome Powell
In a separate post, Trump targeted Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, sharing an image that appeared to show Powell being dropped into a dumpster. This was a swipe at what Trump perceives as Powell's failure to lower interest rates. Trump wrote, "'Too Late' is a DISASTER for America! Interest Rates too high!"
