Fatal hit-and-run in Mississauga

Peel Regional Police are also seeking the driver of a white Mercedes sedan after a pedestrian was struck and killed early Sunday morning in the Erin Mills area of Mississauga. Officers responded to the crash at approximately 6 a.m. in the Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue West area. A white Mercedes sedan was traveling eastbound on Eglinton at a high rate of speed when it struck a 38-year-old female pedestrian who was in the intersection.

Police believe the suspect vehicle may have extensive damage to the front end and windshield. They are appealing to residents in the area to review any video footage and are asking body shops to report if a white Mercedes sedan with similar damage is brought in for repairs.

“Investigators are urging the suspect to retain legal counsel and turn themselves in to police,” Peel Regional Police said in a news release.
