Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a death at a residence in eastern Ontario, according to a statement released Friday morning.
OPP officers responded to the scene on Thursday evening. The identity of the deceased has not been released, and no cause of death has been determined pending an autopsy.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages and that no further details will be provided at this time to protect the integrity of the probe. The OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch has been notified and is assisting with the case.
